Rumors: Martin Braithwaite to Barcelona?
The Leganes forward is the latest to be linked
Barcelona’s search for a new forward took an interesting turn on Monday with a report that Leganes’ Martin Braithwaite could be the man to arrive at the Camp Nou.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona have been impressed with the 28-year-old ever since he arrived in La Liga from Championship side Middlesbrough.
Braithwaite came up with five goals and five assists in his first 19 games with the club which saw him earn a permanent transfer last summer.
He has six goals and two assists for the club in 24 outings this season, and his versatility to play either up front or out wide seems to be a big reason why he’s come under consideration.
The report also reckons he shares the same agent as Frenkie de Jong, which may help matters, and he is now in contention along with Lucas Perez and Angel Rodriguez.
