Setien says Barca are heading in the right direction
The Spanish champions were knocked out at San Mames
Barcelona boss Quique Setien says his team are heading in the right direction after Thursday’s Copa del Rey defeat at Athletic Bilbao.
A stoppage-time goal from Inaki Williams sent the hosts into the last four of the tournament and continued a pretty miserable week for Barca.
Setien’s men did have chances to win the game, with Antoine Griezmann and Lionel Messi both denied by Unai Simon, and the Barca boss seemed happy enough afterwards.
Setien “Everything went well, except the result and being eliminated. I’m pretty satisfied with how we played. Many people look at result, but it’s about the path. And we’re going in the right direction.”

Barcelona will need to pick themselves up quickly as they return to action on Sunday in La Liga with a trip to the Benito Villamarin to take on Real Betis.
