Barcelona reportedly tell Rakitic no to a loan deal

The midfielder’s future remains unclear

Barcelona have reportedly told Ivan Rakitic no to a loan deal. The report makes it clear that if Rakitic stays at Barcelona till his contract expires next summer, his role will be reduced even further. Now, this is only a report, so it could be one of those Rakitic’s camp leaks something then Barcelona leaks something sort of deals. We don’t really know.

Rakitic has been on the transfer block as it were for some time now. The midfielder has publicly been making it clear he looks forward to continuing at the club. A move out of Barcelona seems to be in Rakitic’s court according to reports. The only difficulty seems to be finding a club that Rakitic wants to go to and that is willing to give Barcelona something in return.

This isn’t going to end anytime soon. Frankly, at this point, we might as well go till the last day of his contract. Till the bitter end.
