Papers: Clubs queuing up for Riqui Puig

The young midfielder will be in demand this summer

Riqui Puig’s future is making headlines on Thursday with a report from Sport that the 20-year-old is in demand this summer and has a decision to make on his future.

The headline is ‘Riqui Puig Wanted’ and brings news of interest from Celta Vigo, Real Betis, Granada, Ajax and clubs from the Premier League and the Bundesliga.

The report also reckons Puig will get to do pre-season with the first team and a decision will then be made about where he will spend the campaign.

Riqui will apparently “do everything possible to stay” but the problem is he may struggle for minutes with Arthur, Frenkie de Jong and Sergio Busquets around.

Barca think that if he can’t have a role in the first team then the best thing for him would be to go out on loan for a season at a quality team.

A decision on his future has not yet been made, but it’s clear he will not lack for offers this summer.
