The speculation about the Inter star continues...

Barcelona’s desire to bring in Lautaro Martinez from Inter Milan is making headlines in Italy on Tuesday, with La Gazzetta dello Sport bringing a fresh update on the transfer saga.

The newspaper reports that Inter fancy asking Barcelona to include Antoine Griezmann as part of the deal to land the Argentine.

Barcelona seem determined to include a player in the deal as they don’t want to pay the full €111 million for Martinez. Arturo Vidal is one of several players to have been mentioned (and he’s on the front page of Sport on Tuesday), and it now seems it’s Griezmann’s turn.

Griezmann is only in his first season at Barcelona, but there has already been plenty of conflicting speculation about his future at the Camp Nou.

Some reports have claimed Barca would be willing to let him go, while others have suggested there is no way he will be allowed to leave and is very much in the club’s plans.

La Gazzetta also has another article talking up a move for Griezmann on Tuesday. They note he may not provide the same amount of goals as Lautaro but may offer “more chances for Lukaku and more unpredictability.”

The article also notes Inter may find it difficult to stop Lautaro moving to Barca to play with Lionel Messi and that bringing in Griezmann might be the best solution.
