Barca told Lautaro and Suarez can play together ‘without problems’
Argentina’s Olympic coach wouldn’t hesitate to pair the duo in attack
Barcelona have been told Luis Suarez and Lautaro Martinez can play together “without problems” should the Inter Milan striker make the move to the Camp Nou this summer.
Argentina’s U20 and Olympic coach Fernando Batista, who knows the 22-year-old well, says the two players would be a hit with Lionel Messi up front for the Spanish champions.
“If you want to play 4-3-3, there would be room only for one of the two. But with those two beasts up top, he would have a great advantage.
“This would also give [Lionel] Messi, who now drops a little further back, more options to pass. I would not hesitate: I would play with Suárez and Lautaro together.
“Those who play well and are smart can do it. So Suarez and Lautaro could play together without problems. An example is found today at Inter. Lautaro coexists with Lukaku without problems.
“They have similar characteristics and both stand out. When one goes through the middle, the other goes out to the side. They do not overlap.”

Lautaro Martinez is believed to be Barcelona’s top target this summer and has reportedly made it clear to the Nerazzurri he won’t sign a contract renewal and fancies a move to the Camp Nou.
His price tag may prove a problem for Barcelona with the latest rumors suggesting Inter want €90m plus a player for the Argentina international.
