Busquets has plenty of offers but wants to prove himself in pre-season
The youngster is aiming to shine in pre-season
Oriol Busquets has been talking about his future at Barcelona and admits he has already attracted offers but is keen to prove himself in pre-season.
The 21-year-old has spent the season in the Eredivisie with FC Twente where he featured in 21 of the club’s 26 league games before the competition was called off because of the coronavirus pandemic.
Busquets says there is chance he could go out on loan again, but it seems his priority is to force his way into Quique Setien’s thoughts at Barcelona.
“They bring it to my agents, they have not addressed me directly. But yes, in recent days there has been news in this regard. We will also see if Barça has plans for me.
“Germany would be a good choice, and I would also be very excited to return to La Liga. But my intention is to do well in pre-season and give everything to stay at Barça.
“Yes, all these teams [Mainz, Werder Bremen, Hamburg, Cologne, Valladolid and Alavés] have been asking.
“My idea is to do the preseason with the first team. I would fulfill a dream if I could stay. I do not want to rule out this possibility.”
