The Blues are eyeing a swap deal involving Jorginho

Chelsea have reportedly joined the race to sign Miralem Pjanic from Juventus and have opened talks about a possible swap deal involving Jorginho.

Manager Maurizio Sarri wants to be reunited with Jorginho once again and is willing to give up Pjanic in order to land the Italy international, according to the Guardian.

The report reckons Pjanic has “failed to convince Sarri he is a key member of the squad” and could be offloaded this summer.

Of course Barcelona have been heavily linked with a move for Pjanic, with Juve said to be keen on a swap involving Arthur.

The Brazilian has made it clear he does not want to leave Barca and his decision means “Juventus stepped up negotiations with Chelsea,” according to the report.

Paris Saint-Germain are also being linked with Pjanic. Sporting director Leonardo is apparently a “huge admirer” of the 30-year-old.
