A look at the latest headlines around Europe

Barcelona’s new plan to land Lautaro Martinez from Inter Milan is front page news in Spain on Friday once again.

Mundo Deportivo report that the Catalan giants are planning to offer €70 million in cash plus Junior Firpo which they think basically adds up to his €111m release clause.

Barca reckon Junior is valued at around €41m after one, slightly disappointing, season at the Camp Nou. Junior arrived last August for €18m plus €12m in variables.

Inter and manager Antonio Conte are said to like the left-back and see him as a good replacement for 34-year-old Ashley Young.

The report also reckons he’s likely to see more game time at the San Siro next season than he would at Barcelona.

Inter must now decide whether or not to accept Barca’s proposal, but MD make it clear they already know Lautaro wants to go.
