Barcelona’s Champions League hopes suffered a blow on Wednesday as Hansi Flick’s side lost 2-0 to Atletico in the first leg of their quarter-final tie 

The game between the two La Liga sides was once again full of controversy, with Pau Cubarsi seeing red and Koke somehow avoiding an early bath.

Barca were also furious after the game as they felt Marc Pubill should have been sent off and conceded a penalty for handball in the second half.

The Catalans now need to stage a memorable comeback if they are to make it through to the semi-finals.
