Barcelona want to sell Emerson this summer - report

The defender has attracted plenty of interest

Barcelona have reportedy decided they want to sell Emerson this summer after the full-back attracted interest from clubs across Europe.

The plan had been for the 21-year-old to continue at Real Betis for another season and then potentially head to the Camp Nou after that.

Yet Mundo Deportivo are reporting Barcelona think it might be a good idea to cash in on the youngster now.

Borussia Dortmund are said to be interested after seeing Real Madrid loanee Achraf Hakimi leave for Inter Milan this week.

MD also reckon Premier League clubs Everton, Newcastle and Tottenham are also keen but have not yet made a formal offer.

It’s not clear what Real Betis make of Barca’s plans for Emerson. The defender has played 28 of their 33 La Liga games this season, scoring three times and contributing five assists.
