Quique Setien’s side play on Sunday

Barcelona are back in action on Sunday with a tricky away trip to Villarreal in La Liga.

The Yellow Submarine have been in great form since the competition restarted with five wins and a draw from their six matches so far.

Meanwhile, Quique Setien’s side have become draw specialists in recent weeks but need a win on Sunday to relieve the pressure.

Let’s look at how they might line up:

Defence

Setien looks unlikely to make many changes in defence and doesn’t have too many options either. Samuel Umtiti is out again with a knee injury which means Gerard Pique and Clement Lenglet should continue in central defence.

Sergi Roberto is back from injury and is an option at right-back with Nelson Semedo, while Junior Firpo is available if Jordi Alba needs a rest on the other flank.

Midfield

Arturo Vidal could sit this one out as he’s seen a lot of game time since La Liga resumed and looked jaded against Atletico Madrid last time out.

Riqui Puig will be hoping to keep his place in the starting XI after another bright showing in midweek, while Ivan Rakitic and Sergio Busquets could also continue.

Attack

All eyes will be on Setien’s selection in attack with Antoine Griezmann’s recent relegation to the bench having become a major talking point.

The Frenchman seems to have fallen completely out of favour at the Camp Nou, while Setien seems absolutely determined to stick with Luis Suarez no matter how he plays.

Lionel Messi has played every minute so far but it would be a surprise if he were rested, while Ansu Fati and Martin Braithwaite will also be hoping for a spot in the starting XI.

Possible XI: Ter Stegen; Semedo, Pique, Lenglet, Alba; Rakitic, Busquets, Puig; Messi, Suarez, Fati.
