Luis Suarez has offer from MLS club - report
The Barcelona striker wants to stay
Luis Suarez’s future is making headlines on Wednesday with Mundo Deportivo reporting that the Barcelona striker has an offer from the MLS.
The report also reckons that Suarez is pretty tempted by the thought of moving to David Beckham’s Inter Miami who would be happy to capture such a big name.
Yet MD also reckon Suarez is not thinking about leaving this summer. His contract expires in next year but will automatically renew if he plays 60% of next season’s games.
That detail has been confirmed by both Suarez and president Josep Maria Bartomeu in recent weeks.
Suarez turned 33 in January but has been a regular this season, injury aside, under both Ernesto Valverde and Quique Setien.
It seems likely he’ll see regular football next year too, unless the club do move to bring in another striker, which is not clear given their financial situation.
A move for Lautaro Martinez has long been rumored, but the latest reports have suggested the Argentina international may wait until 2021 to head to the Camp Nou.
