Sarri explains why Pjanic missed Juve vs Atalanta

The Turin giants drew 2-2 on Saturday
Juventus boss Maurizio Sarri explained that Miralem Pjanic missed Saturday’s draw with Atalanta because of a small injury problem.
The Serie A league leaders salvaged a 2-2 draw in Turin thanks to two Cristiano Ronaldo penalties both for handball.
Sarri was without Pjanic for the game and said he didn’t want to risk the 30-year-old after he picked up a minor issue.
“Pjanić had an adductor issue, he was not in great shape, so I preferred not to risk a muscular injury when playing every three days and we made different choices.”

Pjanic has continued to feature regularly for Juve since his move to Barca was announced, unlike Arthur who has struggled for game time and missed the trip to Real Valladolid with illness.
The point for Juventus means they are now eight points clear of Lazio, who lost 2-1 to Sassuolo, with six games left to play.
