Could the Dutcman replace Quique Setien?

The idea that Ronald Koeman could replace Quique Setien as Barcelona manager seems to be gaining strength with rumors regarding the Dutchman starting to ramp up on Sunday.

Mauricio Pochettino was the early favorite but that idea seems to be falling by the wayside largely due to his connection with Espanyol.

According to Cat Radio, Koeman has become the top candidate and is willing to leave his job as Netherlands boss now, something he was reluctant to do previously.

Mundo Deportivo also report Koeman to Barcelona is “gaining strength.” The Dutchman turned down the chance to replace Ernesto Valverde in January but would not say no again.

In fact he reportedly believes this could represent his last chance to take charge at the Camp Nou and the opportunity might not come around again.

The Barcelona board is set to meet on Monday morning and we may get more of an idea of the current thinking at that point.
