Barca confirm they’ve received 20,687 no confidence signatures

They must now be validated

Barcelona confirmed on Thursday they have received 20,687 signatures in regards to the vote of censure aganist president Josep Maria Bartomeu.

The campaign has been brought by a group of members, Mes que una Mocio, who smashed the target of 16,520 needed to trigger the vote of no confidence.

Here’s the club’s official statement:

“This afternoon, member Jordi Farré, promoter of the vote of censure against the FC Barcelona Board of Directors, has delivered the signatures of the club members who support his request to the offices of the Barcelona Supporter Services Office (OAB).

“The corresponding count has been made, and a total of 20,687 signatures have been counted, pending validation pursuant to article 55.4 of the FC Barcelona Statutes.”

The signatures still need to be validated over the next 10 days. If everything is good to go then a vote will go ahead “within a period of not less than ten working days and not more than twenty days.”
