Barcelona confirm Ansu Fati out with hip injury

The teenager is set for a spell on the sidelines

Ansu Fati has suffered an injury in today’s training session. The Barca youngster picked up a right hip contusion during the morning training session.

Barca’s preseason begins tomorrow against Nastic of Tarragona and the absence of Fati in the early season makes things a bit more difficult on Koeman. Fati likely plays a large role in the new Koeman system this year. His adaptability in the midfield and on the outside of the formation makes his production incredibly important.

Hopefully, Fati will be back next weekend in time to get some repetitions in before Barca start their season against Villarreal. The last thing Barca fans want to see is Fati struggle through an injury-riddled season.
