Is this his new team?

Luis Suárez and Juventus have reached an agreement on personal terms, according to Italian transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio. While the deal is not fully done, it is understood that the two sides have already agreed on the basics and it’s now mainly a matter of finding an agreement with Barcelona.

Suárez is under contract still, although it is known that Ronald Koeman does not want him this season. The question is whether he would be allowed to leave for free, or whether Barcelona will demand a fee. The forward can also demand Barcelona pay the outstanding money in his contract before they try to get rid of him, but if the club does not agree, they could keep him at the Camp Nou and simply not play him. Of course, in this scenario, Barcelona would be paying massive wages to the Uruguayan, only for him not to be required to do anything. A lose-lose situation.

Juventus still has not given up on Edin Džeko, it is rumored. Should he leave AS Roma and join the old lady of Italian football, Suárez could be surplus to requirements. Ajax are understood to be one possible landing spot for the Uruguayans, who have money now thanks to the sale of Donny van de Beek to Manchester United.

Džeko’s transfer may depend on whether Roma are able to deal Cengiz Ünder, Alessio Riccardi, and an additional fee to Napoli in exchange for Arkadiusz Milik.
