NO CONFIDENCE: Why Bartomeu MUST resign immediately as Barcelona president

Barcelona club members have turned up in huge numbers (20,687 to be exact) in order to action a Vote of No Confidence against Josep Maria Bartomeu and his board of directors.

I could not be happier as, quite clearly, Bartomeu has been destroying Barcelona at every level (sporting, social and economic, to name a few) for several years now.

While I am delighted that the president has finally been called out for his obvious shortcomings, I must admit I am actually surprised that over 20,000 culer socis have defied the current pandemic around Catalunya and beyond to sign these ballots in person. Pleasantly surprised, just to clarify.

In our latest The Barcelona Podcast, we spoke passionately and at length about the reasons that brought Barcelona to the first successful No Confidence motion since 2003, what the process would be from now if Bartomeu refused to resign, and how this internal political turmoil could potentially affect Barca’s first team.
