The forward is set for a long lay-off
Barcelona confirmed on Monday that Ansu Fati has underdone successful knee surgery and will be out of action for four months.
The news is a massive blow for Barca and Fati who had enjoyed a lively start to the season with five goals in all competitions.
The teenager appeared to pick up the problem in the first half after a challenge from Betis defender Aissa Mandi and went off at half-time
Here’s Barca’s official statement:
“The first team player Ansu Fati has been operated on successfully by Dr. Ramon Cugat for the injury to the internal meniscus of his left knee under the supervision of the Club’s medical staff. The player will be out for approximately four months.”

Get well soon Ansu!
