Rakitic won’t celebrate if he scores against Barca
The midfielder plays his former team in the Copa del Rey
Ivan Rakitic is one of the more memorable and consistent players in recent Barcelona history. He was consequential in much of Barca’s success in his time at the club, and left having been a monumental player.
His move to Sevilla means it was just a matter of time before he played against his former club in a big match. That happens this week when Barca take on Sevilla in the Copa del Rey. He spoke about whether or not he would celebrate a goal against his former club should that happen.
“I wouldn’t celebrate a goal against Barcelona. I will always carry them with me.
“Things that were discussed were not fulfilled with me, but there I have lived many beautiful moments. My little daughter was born in Barcelona, I have many friends in the city and a lot of affection from the fans, which is mutual.”
