Araujo expected to be fit for Sevilla clash
But will the center-back start?
Barcelona returned to training on Monday to prepare for Wednesday’s Copa del Rey semi-final second leg against Sevilla at the Camp Nou.
Ronald Araujo did not take part in the full training session but did work out in the gym and is expected to be fit for the match against Julen Lopetegui’s side, according to AS.
The center-back made his return from a sprained ankle in the weekend La Liga win over Sevilla as a substitute but came off early after taking a knock.
Araujo is expected to join the group on Tuesday morning when Barca train again, and we should also get an update on his fitness in Ronald Koeman’s press conference.
It’s not clear if Araujo will go straight back into the team or if Koeman will play with two center-backs or three after switching formation to good effect at the weekend.
Koeman must also replace Pedri who is out with a calf injury, while Miralem Pjanic remains a doubt with an ankle problem and is also a doubt for the match.
