How will Barcelona line up against Levante?
The Catalans need to get back to winning ways
Barcelona are back in La Liga action on Tuesday at Levante and in need of a win to keep their fading title hopes alive.
Saturday’s draw against Atletico was a blow but the title race is not over yet and it’s vital the Catalans take all three points against Paco Lopez’s side.
Sergio Busquets is a doubt after suffering a facial fracture against Atletico but otherwise Ronald Koeman has no new injury worries.
Let’s look at who might feature:
Defense
Koeman has decisions to make at the back with Ronald Araujo pushing hard for a place in the starting XI after a strong showing against Atletico in the second half.
Oscar Mingueza could make way for the Uruguayan after being taken off at half-time of Saturday’s crunch clash, while Gerard Pique and Clement Lenglet should continue in central defense.
Midfield
It’s not clear if Busquets will be fit to play on Tuesday. It’s been reported he could play with a protective mask and he did take part in the recovery training session on Sunday.
If the midfielder is not available then Koeman does have options. Ilaix Moriba appears to be Koeman’s favorite choice but Sergi Roberto, Miralem Pjanic and Riqui Puig are also available.
Attack
Lionel Messi and Antoine Griezmann both drew a blank against Atletico which could tempt Koeman into tweaking his attack against Levante.
The Dutchman could freshen things up by giving Ousmane Dembele the nod, while Martin Braithwaite and Francisco Trincao will also be hoping to feature at some point.
Possible XI: Ter Stegen; Araujo, Pique, Lenglet; Dest, Busquets, De Jong, Pedri, Alba; Messi, Dembele.
