Schreuder praises Barca’s character after comeback win
Ronald Koeman’s No.2 was happy with the win
Alfred Schreuder was the man on the touchline for Barcelona on Sunday, due to Ronald Koeman’s touchline ban, and was happy to talk about his team’s performance after the win.
The Catalan giants kept their title hopes alive with just four games left after coming from behind to beat Valencia 3-2 in an intriguing game.
Schreuder was pleased with the way his team reacted to going a goal behind and says confidence remains high they can finish the season as champions.
“We have shown character and the reaction has been good,” he said. “We are alive in the title race and it very close. We do not look at others, we look at ourselves.
“Next week will not be a final match, there will be four more left and we trust our players to win La Liga. We have reduced the gap to Atlético since January and we have competed well these last three months.
“The past cannot be changed, and now we look to the Atletico game. We have a lot still in our hands.”

Barcelona now head into an even more important game at home to Atletico. A win would propel Koeman’s men above the Rojiblancos but Barca would still need Real Madrid to drop points.
However, Los Blancos also face a tricky game at the weekend at home to Sevilla and face a busy week with a Champions League semi-final second leg against Chelsea on Tuesday.
