Martinez expected to miss five weeks with latest injury
The center-back is out again
Barcelona expect Inigo Martinez to miss around five weeks after being injured again on Sunday in the Copa del Rey win at Barbastro.
Martinez was back in action after hamstring trouble but had to go off yet again after suffering a fresh injury.

Tests carried out on the first team player show that first team player Iñigo MartÃnez has an injury to the biceps femoris muscle in his left thigh. He is unavailable for selection and his recovery will dictate his return. pic.twitter.com/kkZ3QQfSKD
Diario Sport reckon Martinez will be now sidelined for just over a month.
The news means he’ll miss the Spanish Super Cup, the next round of the Copa del Rey and league games against Real Betis, Villarreal, Osasuna and Alaves.
Barcelona are hoping he will be fit in time for the return of the Champions League in February, with the Catalans set to take on Napoli in the round of 16.
The news is a real blow to Martinez in his first season at Barca. He’s looked a good addition to the squad but injuries means he’s only made six La Liga starts for Xavi’s side.
