Barca to miss out on Aleix Garcia as Girona star has Leverkusen medical
The midfielder is in Germany to complete his move
Barcelona are set to miss out on Aleix Garcia as he has flown out to Germany for a medical with newly-crowed Bundesliga champions Bayer Leverkusen.
Garcia admitted last season he would like to play for Barcelona, which did not go down too well Girona, and got the rumor mill into a real frenzy.
Barca were said to be really keen on the 26-year-old but it looks like he’s about to join Xabi Alonso’s side instead.

It looks like a smart move by Leverkusen, with Garcia’s release clause reportedly set at around 20 million euro.
The Girona midfielder had initially been called up to the Spain squad for Euro 2024 but was one of three players, including Pau Cubarsi, to be left out of the final squad for the tournament in Germany.
