Barcelona set to negotiate Pau Victor deal with Girona

Barcelona are working to try and secure a new deal to keep Pau Victor at the club after an impressive season with Rafa Marquez’s side.
Victor spent the season on loan with Barca Atletic and was the team’s top scorer as they made it all the way to the promotion play-off final.
However, Barca failed to take up a purchase option in his contract, despite advice from Marquez, meaning he’s back with Girona for the team being.
Yet Barca have now told Victor’s agent they want to him to continue at Barcelona and plan to negotiate a deal with Girona, according to Jijantes.
There’s a chance that Oriol Romeu could also be included in the negotiations after a tough spell last year back at Barcelona last season.
Keeping hold of Victor would be a big boost for Barca Atletic, particularly as a host of players from Marquez’s team have already moved on this summer.
