First workout of the preseason - FC Barcelona
The 2024/25 season is well and truly under way. This Thursday, the first team squad trained for the very time under new head coach Hansi Flick, the day after taking medical and fitness tests at the Ciutat Esportiva. Today they took to the Tito Vilanova field for their first day of actual training.

Three more Liga kick-offs confirmed - FC Barcelona
Barça start the season at Mestalla. home of Valencia, on Saturday 17 August at 9.30pm CEST. A week later Hansi Flick will be managing his first game in front of the home fans, and it's against Athletic Club.

Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong was ruled out with an ankle injury in mid-April against Real Madrid, but the Dutchman was expected to make Euro 2024. After being ruled out in early June though, he still has not recovered.

Juventus join Barcelona in Joao Cancelo pursuit after Manchester City drop asking price - Football España
City have reduced their asking price from the previously demanded €25-30m, and will now consider offers approaching €20m. Saudi Arabian sides Al-Ahli and Al-Ettifaq are willing to pay the original price, but are yet to be able to convince Cancelo to leave European football.
