‘Gavi will be our 27th player’ - Barca star joins squad for final
The Barca star will be in Berlin for the big game
Spain boss Luis de la Fuente has confirmed Barcelona midfielder Gavi will be with the team for the Euro 2024 final.
Gavi has flown out to Germany to spend time with his team-mates ahead of the big match against England in Berlin.
The Barca star has been invited after missing the tournament because of a serious knee injury picked up while playing for Spain.
“I also want to tell you something. Tomorrow Gavi will be with us, he’s coming to spend all day with us and be our 27th player,” he told reporters.
It’s a kind gesture from De la Fuente and should give Gavi a boost as well as his team as they go for glory against the Three Lions.
Gavi isn’t the only Barcelona man expected in Germany to cheer the team on. Xavi is also expected to be in attendance along with Deco, Gerard Pique and Carles Puyol.
