WATCH: Flick takes charge of Barca training for first time

New Barcelona manager Hansi Flick has taken charge of his first training session at the club on Thursday as the players start pre-season ahead of the 2024-25 campaign.
Barcelona’s stars were back for medical checks on Wednesday, with Flick taking to the training pitch on Thursday to get his first proper look at his new team.
Of course, Flick is without a host of key stars due to Euro 2024, the Copa America and the Olympics - which at least gives the club’s youngsters a great chance to impress.

Barcelona showed some clips of the training session on their social chanels with Vitor Roque, Ansu Fati, Oriol Romeu, Inaki Pena, Inigo Martinez and Pablo Torre being put through their paces.

Alejandro Balde was also seen taking part, as he bids to return to full fitness after injury, along with returning loanees Julian Araujo and Mikayil Faye.

Barcelona’s international stars will return after taking time off following their exploits with their national teams. The club’s Spain contingent remain in action in Germany and will take on England in the final of Euro 2024 on Sunday.
