Christensen misses Barca training ahead of Athletic clash
The Dane was absent on Friday
Andreas Christensen was a notable absentee from training on Friday as Hansi Flick’s side continued their preparations to face Athletic Club on Saturday.
The Denmark international, who is being linked with a move away from the club before the window closes, was out due to more Achilles discomfort, according to reports.
Christensen has been troubled by an Achilles issue for some now and it looks like it’s still a problem for the Dane.
It’s not clear yet if Christensen will be fit for tomorrow’s game or if Barca will have to cope without him. The former Chelsea man was only a substitute against Valencia last time out.
Vitor Roque also missed Friday’s session as he closes in on a move to Real Betis. The Brazilian is expected to sign for the club on loan.
Barcelona are also working hard on other exits in a bid to try and get Dani Olmo registered in time for Saturday’s first home game of the season.
