The Brazilian was sent home due to an illness

Barcelona returned to training on Saturday after two days off since returning from the United States tour, and one notable name was missing from the session as Vitor Roque was absent due to illness, according to Mundo Deportivo.

The Brazilian striker arrived at the club’s facilities with a fever and complaining of general discomfort, and was sent home after being examined by the club’s doctors. Roque played a total of 75 minutes during the American tour and has been heavily linked with an exit, and not being able to train due to illness is just another bit of unfortunate bad news for the youngster.

Gerard Romero’s Jijantes channel reported on Friday that Roque’s agents had a meeting with sporting director Deco “to clarify the positions of all parties” regarding the player’s future, and a loan or a permanent sale appear to be the most likely options as of now.

Roque recently rejected a move to Saudi Arabia while Barça said no to an offer from Lazio, but with three weeks left in the transfer window it looks like there’s very little doubt that Roque will be on his way out of the club one way or another.
