A January move is a possibility

Ronald Araujo’s future at Barcelona is the subject of all kinds of speculation at the moment as a January exit from Catalunya does appear to be a possibility.

Juventus are keen to bring in the Uruguayan to help their injury problems, with reports in Italy even claiming a deal has been agreed. La Repubblica claim a loan deal is all done and dusted with the Catalan giants.

The Spanish press are a little less excited at the moment but the latest update from Mundo Deportivo suggests that Araujo is certainly thinking about it.

MD report that Araujo has told his Barcelona team-mates he is “seriously considering” a move away from the celub.

The report adds that Araujo is feeling “burnt out” for various reasons and feels that Pau Cubarsi and Inigo Martinez are the established center-backs under Hansi Flick.

Barcelona are also thought to be close to sealing a deal to bring in Jonathan Tah on a free transfer in the summer, another factor in Araujo’s thinking apparently.

The defender is also said to have told the locker room that he’d prefer a move to the Premier League. Juventus are thought to be eager to sign Araujo this summer, but there have ben whispers of interest from Arsenal.
