More problems for Laporta as RFEF consider filing complaint
His behaviour at the Super Cup is under scrutiny
Barcelona president Joan Laporta is enduring a tough few weeks due to the Pau Victor and Dani Olmo saga and his problems are showing no signs of ending.
The Catalans have been allowed temporary permission to register the duo but Laporta’s behaviour after the news was announced has come under scruntiny.
Laporta was spotted hurling insults at members of the RFEF during Barcelona’s Super Cup win over Athletic Club which could land him in hot water.
According to Cadena COPE, the RFEF are now considering filing a complaint against Laporta for his behaviour at the match.
The report even suggests that a possible sanction could see him removed as Barcelona president, in the same way Luis Rubiales lost his job after the 2023 Women’s World Cup.
Laporta has also been criticised by fan groups in recent weeks, while there have also been calls for him to resign his position over the ongoing saga.
Meanwhile, Barcelona have announced that Laporta will hold a press conference next Tuesday to discuss “about various matters of current importance at the club.”
