Tebas insists Olmo ‘should not finish La Liga’ with Barca

The president is on the attack again
Javier Tebas can’t seem to stop talking about Dani Olmo and Barcelona and has insisted once again that the forward’s registration should be cancelled.
La Liga’s president has already made it crystal clear he wants Olmo unregistered for the second half of the season after Barca gained an injunction in the winter to allow him to play.
Both sides are still waiting for a final decision from the CSD, but Tebas has said in a new interview that Olmo shouldn’t be playing for Barcelona right now.
“If Olmo signed the contract knowing that in December he could stop being a Barca player and not be registered, if Olmo signed it, how am I going to give a precautionary measure to a player who was aware that could happen to him?” he said
“He should not finish the season with Barcelona, we have challenged it. I think we have made a very clear statement and it should be upheld.
“I was hoping they would resolve their problems. You have to think that when Olmo was authorised to play until 31 December due to financial fair play, that was in August. There were four months for Barca to come to a solution and make decisions along those lines.
“I was hoping they would resolve it because there was time and there was a way to work. What happened? Well, no and in the last three days they wanted to sort everything right out in a hurry.”
The Olmo saga has already dragged on for far too long, causing the Spain star plenty of stress, and really needs to be resolved as soon as possible.
