Gavi: ‘We don’t think about Real Madrid, only ourselves’
The midfielder said they are focused on winning their own matches
FC Barcelona midfielder Gavi has insisted that the club is focused on achieving their goals after a crucial 4-1 win over Girona FC.
Asked to remark on Real Madrid, who are just three points behind the league leaders, Gavi played it down.
“We don’t have to think about Real Madrid, only about ourselves, because in the end it depends on us, and if we win our games, we’ll win La Liga. We believe in ourselves, so do the fans, and we’ll continue like this,” he said.
Gavi has become an essential part of Hansi Flick’s team after a long injury layoff, and the German manager has not hesitated to deploy him in several positions.
“The coach sees me in many positions on the pitch. I think I can perform in all of them mentally, although some may suit me better than others due to my abilities, but I have to do my part and perform.”
