Hansi Flick has good news for Gavi ahead of Barca’s run-in

The midfielder should feature a lot more
Barcelona midfielder Gavi seems to have lost prominence in recent weeks after making a successful comeback from a serious knee injury.
The 20-year-old hasn’t started a game since the 1-0 win over Rayo Vallecano at the start of February, although he will be hoping to get the nod against Osasuna.
Gavi’s situation has raised a few eyebrows but, according to Catalunya Radio, it’s all part of Hansi Flick’s masterplan.
The Barcelona boss and his staff had previously designed a plan for Gavi and did not expect him to feel 100% again after his return until the end of March.
Gavi was warned that it would take him five months to feel back to his very best after returning and we are now at that point in his return.
The report states that as we head into the final stretch of the season fans can expect to see much more of Gavi than recently.
All of which will be a boost to the youngster even though he’s made it clear he “will never be upset at not starting for Barcelona.”
Flick continues to have ultimate faith in the midfielder, and views him as a future captain, while the injury to Marc Casado will also help his cause.
Gavi also missed out on being called up by Spain over the most recent international break which should mean he’s nice and fresh for the run-in.
