The next Barcelona match is upon us! The Blaugrana travel to the Spanish capital for the second leg of their Copa del Rey semi-final tie against Atlético Madrid, and Hansi Flick has called up the following 22 players for Wednesday’s clash:
Goalkeepers: 13. Iñaki Peña, 25. Wojciech Szczesny, 31. Diego Kochen
Defenders: 2. Pau Cubarsí, 3. Alejandro Balde, 4. Ronald Araujo, 5. Iñigo Martínez, 23. Jules Kounde, 24. Eric García, 32. Héctor Fort, 35. Gerard Martín
Midfielders: 6. Gavi, 8. Pedri, 14. Pablo Torre, 16. Fermín López, 21. Frenkie de Jong
Forwards: 7. Ferran Torres, 9. Robert Lewandowski, 10. Ansu Fati, 11. Raphinha, 18. Pau Víctor, 19. Lamine Yamal
There are no fresh injury concerns following the match against Girona so Flick is able to call up the same 22 players as he did at the weekend. There was some hope Andreas Christensen (calf) would get the medical green light but the Dane will have to wait a few more days. Marc-André ter Stegen (knee) is also back in training but still not close to the clearance, while Marc Casadó (knee), Dani Olmo (groin) and Marc Bernal (knee) also miss out due to injury.
Predicted starting XI (4-2-3-1):
Szczesny; Kounde, Cubarsí, Iñigo, Balde; De Jong, Pedri; Yamal, Gavi, Raphinha; Lewandowski
The match kicks off at 9.30pm CET (Barcelona), 8.30pm BST/WAT (UK & Nigeria), 3.30pm ET, 12.30pm PT (USA), 1am IST (India, Thursday), and you can join us to follow and comment all the action.
