Como set to sign Barca defender Alex Valle in €6m transfer

The left-back will stay in Serie A
Como are reportedly set to activate a €6 million release clause in Alex Valle’s contract and sign the left-back permanently from Barcelona.
Valle started the season by going out on loan to Celtic but then switched to Como in the January transfer window.
The defender has gone on to make 11 Serie A appearances for Cesc Fabregas’s side and now looks set to stay on a permanent deal.
Fabrizio Romano reports Como will trigger his release clause and sign a long-term deal after impressing Fabregas and Co.

The news is interesting as Barcelona stated there was no option to buy when Valle was loaned to Como, but Romano seems to think otherwise.
Meanwhile, Barcelona are expected to strengthen at full-back in the summer transfer window if funds allow.
Alejandro Balde is the No. 1 left-back under Hansi Flick, with Gerard Martin and Hector Fort his back-ups presently at Barcelona.
