The goalkeeper is back after a long spell out

Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen has been passed fit after seven months out injured after undergoing knee surgery back in September.

The German stopper has now been cleared to play again and is included in the Barcelona squad for Saturday’s Copa del Rey final against Real Madrid.

Wojciech Szczęsny is still expected to start the game in Seville, but Hansi Flick will have a decision to make now on when Ter Stegen will return.

The Barcelona coach did speak about his goalkeeper and said they will chat about when is the right time for him to come back before making a decision.

Barcelona are set for a crucial few days with Saturday’s match followed by the first leg of their Champions League semi-final with Inter.

Flick will speak to the press later today, before the cup final, and may well offer an update on Ter Stegen and when he could play for the team again.
