Good stuff

Raphinha returned to action with Barcelona on Wednesday as Hansi Flick’s side beat Atletico Madrid in the Copa del Rey semi-finals.

The game came after an international break which saw Raphinha’s Brazil beaten by Argentina in World Cup qualifying.

Raphinha had stirred things up before the game with some spicy comments which ensured he came in for some tough treatment during the game which Argentina won 4-1.

The forward then returned to Barcelona and came up against a number of familiar faces in Madrid as Argentina stars Rodrigo De Paul, Julian Alvarez, Giuliano Simeone and Nahuel Molina all featured for Atletico.

However, Raphinha was happy to put international rivalries aside by waiting for De Paul after the game and offering a handshake and a shirt swap.

The win means Barcelona progress to a Copa del Rey final with Real Madrid and continue to fight on three fronts for trophies.

However, it’s been a tough few weeks for Atletico as they’ve been knocked out of the Copa, and the Champions League and also now sit six nine points off top spot in La Liga.
