Javier Tebas talks Barcelona’s return to Camp Nou, Real Madrid referee videos and registering Joan Garcia

Some interesting stuff....
La Liga president Javier Tebas has been sharing his thoughts on a variety of topics following the end of the 2024-25 La Liga season.
Barcelona once again played away from Camp Nou, due to the renovation work taking place at their famous home, but Tebas has confirmed when they will be back next season.
“Barça has requested that the first three matchdays not be played at home, and as always, that has been granted,” he told El Larguero.
“Their first home game could be after the international break or the following week, so Barça will play their first home game around September 20th.”
In the meantime, Barca are working on transfers and are expected to sign Joan Garcia from Espanyol.
Tebas was asked if they will be able to register the goalkeeper and also about a possible fine from UEFA for breaching financial rules and offered up the following response.
“Barça knows what it has to do to make their accounts balance and be able to register their players,” he said.
“Regarding UEFA, UEFA’s Financial Fair Play is normally analyzed after the fact, so this must be from two seasons ago, and that must be because they don’t recognize the levers procedure.”
There was also a pretty amusing response from Tebas when quizzed on Real Madrid’s complaints about referees this season and penchant for making critical videos about match officials.
“Barça complains about the referees twice a season; Madrid, before every match,”he added.
“It’s funny that when they stopped having any chance of winning the League, the videos stopped.”
Barcelona ended up winning the league by four points from Real Madrid as Hansi Flick’s side ended the campaign with three domestic trophies.
