Barcelona have been linked with Alessandro Bastoni for some time now as they seek to bolster their defence in the summer transfer window.

It had previously been reported that Bastoni was in negotiations to extend his contract at San Siro but it seems things may just have changed.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter have decided that Pio Esposito and Lautaro Martinez are their only untouchables and would be willing to sell any other players in the squad if the price is right.

Bastoni seems to be included in that thinking, although the report claims that Inter have slapped a hefty €70 million price tag on the defender.

As we all know, such a high transfer fee is likely to be a problem for Barcelona, particularly with the club also on signing a striker this summer.

Bastoni is one of several center-backs on Barca’s radar currently, with Micky van de Ven and Luka VuÅ¡ković also reportedly in the club’s thoughts.
