Barcelona stars Lamine Yamal and Pau Cubarsi nominated for 2025 Kopa Trophy
Barcelona stars Pau Cubarsi and Lamine Yamal are among the nominees for the 2025 Kopa Trophy which will be handed out later this year.
Yamal won the award in 2024, following in the footsteps of team-mates Pedri and Gavi, and is once again in contention along with Cubarsi.
The Barcelona stars are joined on the list by PSG players Desire Doue and Joao Neves as well as Chelsea’s Estevao Willian, Kenan Yildiz of Juventus and Arsenal’s Myles Lewis-Skelly.
Lille starlet Ayyoub Bouaddi, new Real Madrid signing Dean Huijsen and Porto’s Rodrigo Mora complete the list.
Barcelona are also in contention to win the Women’s Kopa Trophy. Vicky Lopez has been nominated along with Michelle Agyemang, Linda Caicedo, Wieke Kaptein, Claudio Martinez Ovando.
The winners will be announced on 22 September 2025 at the Ballon d’Or awards which will take place once again in a glitzy ceremony at the Theatre du Chatelet in Paris.
