‘Different to what I’m used to’ – Joan Garcia talks life at Barcelona

Barcelona goalkeeper Joan Garcia spoke about life at his new club after keeping a clean sheet in the Gamper Trophy win over Como.
Garcia will be Barcelona’s first choice goalkeeper in the 2025-26 season and says he’s adapting well to life at his new club.
“I’ve felt very comfortable, very happy. It’s different from what I was used to, but I’m adapting well,” he told reporters after the Gamper win.
“I try to do well every day in training, and if they say good things about me, that’s good, and I’ll try to continue like that.”
Barcelona will need to register Garcia before he can debut in La Liga next weekend but he’s not too worried about the situation.
“The club and those around me are reassuring me about the registration. I’m focusing on the day-to-day, and I assume it will happen,” he added.
“Ter Stegen is the captain, we all respect him, and if the problem with the club is resolved, it’s better for everyone.”
Joan Laporta also spoke after the Gamper about registrations and is confident all the club’s new signings will be ready and available for the start of the new campaign.
