Barcelona confirm arrival of Hamza Abdelkarim on loan with a buy option

Barcelona have confirmed the arrival of exciting youngster Hamza Abdelkarim from Saudi Pro League side Al-Ahly.

Abdelkarim has joined Barcelona Atletic until the end of the season, although the transfer does include the option to make the deal permanent.

Here’s the club’s official statement:

“FC Barcelona and Al Ahly have reached an agreement for the loan of Hamza Abdelkarim until June 30, 2026. The agreement includes an option to buy for the Catalan club at the end of the season.

“The Egyptian striker joins Barça Atlètic, after having passed the usual medical tests and getting to know the Club’s facilities, and in the coming days he will start training with his new teammates.”

Abdelkarim is the latest exciting addition to Juliano Belletti’s side and joins Juwensley Onstein in making the switch. Barca are also expected to complete a deal for Patricio Pacífico before the transfer window closes.
