Barcelona are reportedly ready to make a contract offer to Robert Lewandowski and are lining up a one-year contract extension for the 37-year-old.

Joan Laporta has already said he would like the veteran striker to stay on and it seems the club are now set to make an offer.

According to Diario Sport, Barcelona will offer a 12-month deal that includes a significant pay-cut but includes several variables.

It’s described as a “good offer” and it’s now up to the Poland international to decide if he wants to continue or look for a new challenge. Sport say Barca “could reduce his fixed salary by almost fifty percent” but include variables relating to goals scored or games played.

Lewandowski has said he’s in no rush to make a decision and is focusing on his football for now. He’s happy with his family in Barca but is thought to have plenty of other offers from around the world.
