Barcelona are hoping for a cash boost from former defender Sergino Dest who has reportedly caught the eye of Bayern Munich.

Dest left Barcelona for PSV on a permanent transfer in 2024 but the Catalans did include a sell-on clause in the transfer of around 20%.

According to Dutch journalist Rik Elfrink, Bayern are hoping to do a double deal for Dest and PSV team-mate Ismael Saibari.

Dest is valued at around €18 million, meaning Barcelona could be due around €3.5m if the sale goes through.

The full-back is expected to move this summer and has previously admitted he would love to return to Barcelona as he thinks he’d fit in well under Hansi Flick.

While a Barca return is not happening, he could still help his former club out due to the clause in his contract and earn the Catalans a decent windfall.

Yet any transfer may have to wait until after the World Cup. Dest is currently with the USMNT squad and preparing for another warm-up game on Saturday against Germany.
