Dani Olmo gives his verdict on Anthony Gordon signing for Barcelona and Julian Alvarez, Bernardo Silva transfer talk
Dani Olmo has been quizzed on Barcelona’s transfer activity ahead of a potentially busy summer for the Catalan giants.
Anthony Gordon has already arrived from Newcastle United, while the club continue to be linked with moves for Julian Alvarez and Bernardo Silva.
Olmo was also asked about all the transfer rumors and thinks Gordon will be a good addition to the squad.
“Ultimately, the best players have to play for Barça. Gordon is a signing that will raise the team’s level. We welcome him, of course, and wish him a good World Cup, although not against Spain,” he told Mundo Deportivo.
“These are world-class players. Anything that comes in to contribute and raise the team’s level will always be welcome.”
Olmo’s focus is now on the World Cup with Spain and he’s confident of victory.
“We repeat the phrase: we’ll start the World Cup in Atlanta and finish it in New York, which is also one of my favorite cities in the United States. That’s our goal,” he added.
“I think we’re ready. There are a few players who are carrying knocks, but we’re all certain they’re working their hardest to be available and that they will be. So we’re confident and have complete faith in the group we have.”
