‘He was crying’ – Raphinha’s wife reveals Barcelona star’s emotional reaction to latest injury setback
Raphinha’s wife has revealed how the Barcelona star was left in tears after suffering another injury setback while on international duty with Brazil at World Cup 2026.
The forward was forced off against Haiti with another hamstring issue and it’s not yet known if he will be able to feature again at the tournament for Brazil.
Natalia Belloli says that the couple were both initially devastated by Raphinha’s latest injury issue.
“Honestly, it was one of the first times I was speechless. He was crying, and so was I,” she told Domingão com Huck.
“We spoke on the phone; the next day he underwent medical tests and came home for a while, where we were able to talk about the situation.
“Now he’s doing well: strong and sure of his purpose. That’s what matters: maintaining the right mindset and believing that better days are coming.”
Brazil have confirmed that Raphinha will undergo “intensive treatment” and stay with the squad at the tournament, but we’ll have to wait and see if he can play any further part for Carlo Ancelotti’s side.
